September Glambox.ME !

Hey all you lovelies! I received my September box a few days ago and i was excited to say the least as i think i really like the September box more than any other box that i ever received. This is my third box and i really hope they improve more in the next few boxes bringing more of the Makeup items and less of skincare for a change.

As you can see, i received the box above with the items listed below.

  • Papaya Face Mask from Herbline Essentials

  • NSTYLE Nail Polish in the color "Wasta"

  • GATINEAU Anti-ageing pack with Melatogenine Focus Pens and Strategie Jenuesse Eye Pads

  • LANCOME Paris Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara

I am thoroughly excited about the Mascara and the Face Mask as they are my two favorite products from Glambox this month. I've tried them both and i absolutely love them to smithereens. The Mascara and Face Mask deserve their own post so look out for that. The Eye pads are definitely a repeat from the July Glambox but the pen was added from the same company. As i am over 25, i don't really have a problem with wrinkles or anything like that (i think my mom would thoroughly enjoy that considering it is for older people who are like 40+ maybe?!) The Nail polish is an exact replica of "Strawberry Margarita" By "OPI" in my opinion. I was not happy with the color. Since it's autumn and closing to winter i was expecting to get more of a darker color. I think some people received the dark colors as there were 7 different nail color options that were sent out this time. So whoever received the dark color? Wanna trade?! Just kidding!
Are you happy with your glambox this month? What products are you most excited about?!
What all do you expect to receive in your glambox?!

Fragrance Friday: Lady Gaga Fame!

This fragrance was very disappointing to say the least in my opinion  I had really high hopes considering this was going to be a "Lady Gaga's" Perfume. Sephora states this perfume as being a very mysterious yet fabulous perfume --> I beg to differ. The Black liquid inside the bottle looks plain nasty and the scent is overwhelming and overpowering although it doesn't stay that way. It also doesn't last that long. I don't normally tend to gravitate to scents like these anyways so to me this meant nothing. I really wanted to like it but it didn't really work for me. My aunt on the other hand really loved it and preferred it to most other scents she owns. The only cool thing that i would say about this perfume is since it's a black liquid, once dispersed goes invisible and so it doesn't really stain your clothes.

Notes:Belladonna, Incense, Apricot, Honey Drops, Tiger Orchidea, Jasmin Sambac.
Style:
Empowering. Mysterious. Fabulous.

The Packaging is black and bold with some
gold hardware which gives it a very scary sophisticated look. It's meant to look sexy and sultry but i really don't see the appeal in the bottle as well. It's nice but definitely not my taste.

It comes 4 sizes :
  • 0.34 oz Eau de Parfum Rollerball,
  • 1 oz Eau de Parfum Spray,
  • 1.7 oz. Eau de Parfum Spray and
  • 3.4 oz. Eau de Parfum Spray.

Is this your kind of perfume? What do you think of it?

Paperself Lashes...!

All Images taken from paperself.com

Paper Lashes? Whattttttttttttt........!!?!!

These type of lashes have created quite a buzz in the beauty world. Everyone wants one. What is this? It's nothing but fake lashes made out of paper. These lashes are so intricately detailed its amazing how they are look upclose. As seen above these are so beautifully made and they are such tiny lashes that it's just amazing to see how it's even made. Paperself is the company that has started it all.

 Pros:
  • Very chic and sophisticated look
  • Looks very pretty and has beautiful intricate detailing
  • you can wear it with absolutely eye look - neutrals to colorful to smoky eyes! Anything works with these.
  • Easy to put them on your lashes
  • Has more of an Artsy appeal to it.

Cons:
  • It's only a one time use thing
  • Has a Hefty price Tag
  • It's made out of paper
  • It's difficult to take off (can't use makeup remover because it is paper). You have to pull on your lashes to remove it ( It involves stretching and pulling of the eye which in turn causes damaging the sensitive area around the eye)
  • Doesn't last long (the ends tend to come off and you can't really apply excess glue as its paper and it can rip off easily.)

So, Even though it looks artsy and something that is considered as a "novelty" item, i definitely don't think this is for me or even pull it off on an occasion. It's something more to be used on a "runway" or any "Artsy" themed occasion, rather than on a party or a night out. Some of them will and can pull it off but for me i think it's too luxurious of an item for me.
What are your thoughts?

August Glambox.ME

Hey guys! I'm extremely sorry that this blogpost is going up really late (i'm talking end of september for an august glambox) I was travelling and my box got misplaced and by the time i got back*which was a week back*  that's when i received it. But anywho, Better late than never right.

Anyways,I received the following items in August's Glambox.

I wasn't really impressed with this month's Glambox as i expected a little more as it was a Religious Holiday known as "Eid-al-Fitr". But on the other side, i'm really excited to try on the dermalogica moisturizer from this month's glambox and i will review it and post it asap.

AS glambox is concerned, I would rather love to get more makeup items so that we can try out some new brands as there are many other UAE brands that we would love to discover and review. And try to get more makeup brands involved with Glambox.

The products list included (along with their pic):

  • Demalogica Moisturizer

  • Lancome Tresor Midnight Rose
  •

  • Addicted to Soap - Special Eid Gift from Glambox on this auspicious occasion

    Review: Cucumber Peel off Mask!

So who doesn't love their skin feeling soft?! I've discovered one of the many masks that are very inexpensive and that can be used on an everyday basis and is perfect for all skin types. This particular mask is a Peel-off mask and is made of the main ingredients as cucumber. Cucumber as many as you know have the same pH as the skin so they help restore the protective acid mantle–they also possess hydrating, nourishing and astringent properties.

Cucumber is also known to improve the complexion and health of the skin, plus cucumber’s high water content makes it naturally hydrating—a must for glowing skin. This peel-off Mask is one of the best i've ever used and its less than 4 CAD in Walmart and other drugstores.

Moving on to the peel-off mask itself, it's quite sticky as shown above. As soon as you squeeze it out, you have to apply it directly onto a clean face and rub it down quickly so that it covers most of the face. You can apply a thick layer if you wish but a thin layer is just as fine Leave it on for about 15-20 minutes or until the mask dries on your face. Peel it off immediately and see the results of how your skin starts to glow. I would recommend moisturizing your face right after and let it settle into the skin. You can use this everyday as it's not harsh for your skin at all before nighttime and let it work its magic. Since it's peel-off you don't really need to rinse your face after.

My Skin has never felt so refreshed, energized and glowing (without applying any makeup). I usually just put on some eyeliner and mascara and some lipstick and i'm good the whole day. (No foundations or concealers for me :))

Would you like to try out this product as well? Let me know if it worked wonders for you as well

    Studded Collar Necklaces!

    Image from Asos.com

Hello Everyone! Sorry about the delay in my blog lately. I know i shouldn't come up with excuses right now but i really do feel that i needed some time off - I was travelling and was moving about 24 hour long distance flights and on top of that all the jetlag kind of got to me so just wanted some time off.

But none-the-less i'm back now and i'm here to talk to you about these beautiful studded collar necklaces that have made quite a viral fashion statement nowadays.I wasn't a fan of these when they first came out in Zara, but now i think they can make any plain or boring outfit more dressier and classic.

Few of the pictures below are some of my favourite styles of collar necklaces. Studs have definitely made a come-back. You can definitely wear it during the day to bring out the professional look made for work attire or even dress it all down during the night to accesorize your night outfit to something really flashy collared.Necklaces shown below have been ranged from beautiful pearls to gold and silver hardware linings to beautiful rose embellishments etc.

All images have been taken from asos.com, and pinboards on pinterest

Is this going to be one of your styles that you will rock at work or during a night out?!

    Fragrance Friday: Marc Jacobs Dot!

Marc Jacobs has outdone himself again! Way to go Marc...!!!!!

First of all, how cute is the packaging ?! The bottle reminds me of a ladybug. It's very girly, playful, flirty and mesmerizing all at the same time. I love how it's got polka dots all over and it just gives it this chic vibe to it. The red and black colors just gives out sort of a sexy/sultry vibe to it. When i first saw it, i was totally sucked in for the packaging. It's just beautifully made :)!

    Notes:
                             Images from Sephora.com
Red Berries, Dragonfruit, Honeysuckle, Jasmine, Coconut Water, Orange Blossom, Vanilla, Driftwood, Musk.
    Style:

    Chic. Energetic. Upbeat.

Now on to the scent! ( which has to be the most important part of any fragrance)! - As the description of this fragrance states, it's very charming, upbeat, but yet a very sophisticated fragrance. It's perfectly suited for someone who has a magnetic personality, who is independent, very feminine and effortlessly stylish. Light enough for daytime with the perfect level of sophistication for evening wear. I wouldn't say its for a teenager though, it's more for the age group of 20+. I  would recommend you to wear it for about 10-15 minutes before you make a decision to purchase it or not. Personally the longer I wear it, the more I love it. It's got a sweet light floral scent which is not overpowering at all. Although It should be worn very lightly which is when you'll love it. If you put too much of it you wouldn't enjoy it as much.

    It comes in three sizes:
    • 1 oz Eau de Parfum Spray
    • 1.7 oz Eau de Parfum Pour Femme Spray
    • 3.4 oz Eau de Parfum Pour Femme Spray
Will you be buying this perfume?!

Review: John Freida Shampoo and Conditioner

don't know when was the last time that i was so excited about a shampoo and conditioner. Well here i am talking about it which means its gotta be good :)!

John Frieda is one of the famous brands that is getting popular by the day in the hair industry world.

My hair is quite dry, brittle, damaged, has got bazillion split ends --> which means it's been abused pretty badly and needs some serious help.

When i was looking at this line, there was a huge range of products to try out for a very reasonable price. It's not extremely expensive where you would wanna splurge on a product but it's not even that cheap that you would ponder about it working on your hair. It was reasonable enough to purchase plus they had an offer going on which i couldn't resist to buy. It was "buy the shampoo and get the conditioner free". My hair needed some serious help so i chose the "Full Repair" to help my poor old roots.

When i first used it, i was amazed by what this product had done to my hair. I didn't have high hopes on it at all but when i saw how my hair was after using it, i was completely transformed. I am loving this product to the bone although i don't use it every time I wash my hair. I use it atleast once a week. It's quite rich and it really did bring my hair to a more smoother, shiny and sleek finish and it was as soft as a baby's hair!!

I try to switch out my shampoo's and conditioner's so that my hair wouldn't get immune to it all the time. On a daily basis, i use Pantene shampoo and conditioner almost everytime i wash my hair but switch it out to these babies once a week!
I'm quite liking it and love the way my hair is as of now :)! I am not using any sort of heating agent on it (no straighteners, no blow-dryers, no curlers, etc.) and leave it to air dry when i'm out of the shower. It just makes me want to touch my hair everytime i use it :)!

Overall, My Hair feels like it's got some texture and shine to it and its got a fragrant smell as well. Even my husband noticed my hair (he rarely does and doesn't care). So, i really do want to try the other products that they offer with this line.

What is your favorite shampoo and conditioner?!

Mani Monday: Butter London's Trout Pout!

Since living in dubai, I don't get get to try some of the new stuff that comes out immediately. So since im travelling I took advantage and got my hands on the infamous "Trout Pout" By Butter London.

Butter London polishes claim to be 3 Free Lacquers which basically means there nail polishes don't contain NO formaldehyde, NO toluene, and NO DBP. Sounds Interesting to me.! I've wanted to try these out for the longest time and i was excited to finally have it in my hands.

I've never really tried out this brand before and since this was retailing for 17CAD a bottle, it was quite pricey to even splurge on one nail polish. But since I there for labor day sales, they were giving it out for 14CAD if you bought three. So I decided to pick it up and give it a try.

Trout Pout is a gorgeous Coral/Pink color which I think is absolutely beautiful during any time of the year. It's a color that is chic, classic and goes with every skin tone as well. I'm more towards the Olive/Dark side of the complexion spectrum so i was quite skeptical if it would look as good on me as it does in the bottle. The Application was smooth (almost Buttery) and opaque in just one coat but i still did two coats just so it doesn't chip easy. I don't think it even needs a Top coat as it glistens so beautifully just by itself. The polish dries out pretty quickly and it doesn't smear or smudge. It's definitely a good polish to work with and its got everything  i would ever want in a polish.

I'm more gravitated towards colors like this as i feel it gives a sudden confidence in yourself. You can wear it to work, a night out or even a date.

    Have you tried this out?
What do you think about the Butter London Polishes? What are your favourites?
