Some blues and Pinks! - My favorite look so Far!

This has to be the Best Eye look I've ever done! To begin with, it can be used both for day and night time. I'm pretty impressed with the quality of these Eyeshadows. Let's have a look at these eyeshadows shall we?!

Enter: MAC - Electric Eel & HARD CANDY - Ab Fab Baked Eyeshadow

I gotta admit I got this eyeshadow just for the purple color. I am so in love with it. When i was doing this look I had intended to use the purple color but then I realized I could try mixing up electric eel and the pink together to get a lovely purple shade. On the other hand, Electric Eel is such a scary color when you first look at it and not a lot of people would even consider to go about wearing this color on an everyday basis. The Key to this look is to place the right amount of eyeshadow and blend it in without overdoing it.

I used The Electric eel as a base color all over the lid and then placing the pink right above it just slightly a little below the brow bone. When you mix these two colors getting blended in, it creates this beautiful light purple shade in the middle giving this look it's tint of color in the middle. As you may have noticed, I've not used any dark colors in the outer corner or in the crease. I wanted it to leave it like this because it created this beautiful look without making it too dark.

I added a heavy winged Liner to intensify the look so that it looked more sophisticated. You could do a normal liner look and still get away with compliments from everyone.I joined up the inner corners with the liner to give it that smooth wave affect.

You can leave the rest of the face really soft and subtle but i went with a pink blush - Desert Rose by MAC And then added up some Saint Germain on the lips. I agree it's a bit too much but it looks beautiful! Trust me :D
Hope you guys loved this look? Tell me about your favourite looks and how you flaunt it ;)!

Black-Out Makeup Disaster

I gotta honestly say that i'm not proud of this look. It looks muddy and too black! I wanted it to look more smoky but it just doesn't cut it. None-the-less i had to post this because i wanted to show you not all experiments turn out great.

I did wear this to a wedding and it looked great because the lighting was just about right to give my face that subtle glow and it definitely match my eyes. Definitely cheated on that one.  However in pictures, it look horrendous and absolutely ridiculous. It looked unblended, too much black going and absolutely hideous! It's safe to say It didn't look clean and polished.

Let me know about your makeup disasters and how it affected you!

Acrylic Nails!

This is the first time I've ever gotten Acrylic nails and I must say by the looks of it, it looks so breathtakingly beautiful. I love the Accent Nail as well with a little rhinestone in the middle. It costed me quite alot to get this done. But I would say that it was well worth it. My nails have never looked so perfect and pretty and Healthy(fake).

Although there are some cons to this as well. It will never ever come off unless you bite your nails, scratch or beat the heck out of them. It will stay put. and THAT is what damages the nails. In order to remove them professionally, you can go remove them at the salon and it wont hurt as much. But i didn't end up going to the salon. I waited till they grew out one by one and then clipped it out with a nail cutter. This whole process took me close to 2 months.! It damaged my nails to the extreme and i was forced to put NO varnish on my nails till they looked fairly ok to do so.

I will still be looking out for the other safer option which is the "Gelish" option. Haven't tried that out as of yet. Let me know if you've had your nails done acrylic or gelish and the pros and cons of each.

Enchanting Eyes!

First of all, i would like to apologize for the hideous eyebrows! I hadn't got them done or tweezed them (eeek).
Let's try to move away from the brows and focus on the eyes for now :D. So, I was experimenting one fine day while i was staying at a hotel getting bored while my husband was at work. We were going out to the museum that night and I really loved how it turned out. I love these type of looks that just mesmerizes all that can ever beat the eye.

I used my All time favorite pallete - Sleek ACID pro pallete.
  • Turquoise color all over the eye lid
  • Purple at the outer corner and all over the Brow bone.
  • Black to deepen the look at the outer corner
Make sure to blend all the colors together so that it doesn't turn out messy!

Hope you liked my little experiment!

Purple Haze!

This is a look which never goes old. It's an absolute delight to see people with purple lids! It's something different from pink. Now, I'm not a pink lover, I'm really not a girly girl but when it comes to eye make up looks i will run away from pink as far as i can.
Purple on the other hand is such a soft and pretty color. It goes on like a charm on any skin tone. It looks subtle almost like a dream and it can work with different colors that you might want to wear it with.
I came up with this look. (I know it's been done a dozen times) but i wanted something for day time and night time both with the same eye look. The only difference to darken up the outer corner with black to make it "night time".

This is what it looks when the eyes are closed. I added a little wing liner to top it all off! i know it looks breathtaking and sophisticated. I guess you could also add some lashes for a more dramatic night time Look.

Do you like my Amy winehouse winged liner?

So do u have any liner looks that i would love.! let me know

Wouldn't it be nice if we got beauty products from major beauty brand names for almost free in dubai?! i know i do! (it's at a very reasonable price for 6 products)
Enter: Glambox!

For those of you who don't know what Glambox is - it is a Monthly Beauty Subscription service that sends out 5-6 high-end deluxe beauty samples every month right to your doorstep in the most cutest packaging ever.

This is what i got in the mail. - tada!

The packaging is in a hot pink box! When opened, it was covered with black tissue paper and a beige ribbon to match the glambox and a "Welcome" note inside.

This is what July has to offer!

I'm really excited to try out these products.
1. Vichy Sunscreen Spf 50+
2. Green Bar Moisturizing Oil
3. Lancome Advanced Skin Corrector
4. Kiehl's Creme de Corps
5. Gatineau Intensive Treatment for Eye Area

The Idea behind this concept is to test out different brands that you may never have heard of or got your hands on. I haven't heard of 3 brands that are given here. So it's really exciting for me to try it. You may not like all the products after you try them but that's ok.

Although I have to say that I wish Glambox did include a card about what products they include and what they all do (would be really helpful).

Here's a snapshot of all the products individually:
